Chikhladze Giorgi » Strategic partnership

With which county/or alliance of countries will you attempt to achieve a strategic, including military-strategic partnerships? What steps will you take in this regard?

Georgia’s foreign policy should be based on the state interests and should take into account those of the USA, European Union, Russia and its neighboring countries. This policy should be firmly based on democratic principles. It should not only deepen and strengthen relations with developed countries, but also harness this mutual cooperation to create and promote a source that would protect human rights.

Our military strategic partnership and cooperation with the US and the North Atlantic Alliance should continue to grow and develop. Military cooperation with the European Union and Turkey must be developed through international formations to combat terrorism and separatism.

Foundations must be laid for our cooperation with the CSTO (Collective Security Treaty Organization) in the points of intersection of interests.
